Although the general H-2B visa cap has been reached, USCIS continues to accept petitions for the additional 20,000 visas allocated specifically for workers from countries including:

  • Costa Rica

  • Colombia

  • El Salvador

  • Ecuador

  • Haiti

  • Guatemala

  • Honduras

Applicants from these countries, whose start dates fall on or before March 31, 2025, are encouraged to apply. These visas do not require proof of being a returning worker.
